New York Times: The Pour Blog
3/23/2010
Frankly Wines and a number of other new shops get a shout out from Eric Asimov on his wine blog for the New York Times.
FROM THE ARTICLE:
In my column this week I take a look at the many new, passionate wine shops that have opened in the last few years.
I don’t want to offer too long a litany here, but they would include...Christy Frank, who used to work for a distributor now sells bottles in her tiny shop, Frankly Wines, at the southern edge of Tribeca...
What all of these places have in common is passion – passion and individualism. None of these places wants to sell wine as a commodity. They want to sell wines they love, with the hope of building a cadre of wine lovers who will repeatedly patronize their shops, thus sustaining business. That’s the model, anyway.
